Born and raised in Coonawarra – Matilda Innes has the Limestone Coast running in her veins (literally when she’s had a glass or two of wine). She took the scenic route to the wine industry, via some ‘half-degrees’ in Communication Design and Fine Arts, with a detour through Melbourne hospitality. In 2016 she took another crack at education, and earned her WSET Level 3 award. In 2017 Matilda traded late night knock-offs for early vintage rises, returning home to Coonawarra to help run her family company Ottelia. She has been strongly involved with the Limestone Coast Wine Show through the years, including five years on the committee. After retiring from the committee last year, she is delighted to be involved with the show again. Take that FOMO. Matilda has previous associate judging experience at the LCWS and Halliday Cabernet Challenge.
