Kent Comley is a dedicated cork dork who has worked with wine for over thirty years. Kent manages and curates the wine list at The Barn Steakhouse, near Mount Gambier, which has been recognized nationally for the depth and breadth of its list and its Coonawarra focus, notably winning the Hall of Fame in both the Gourmet Traveller Wine List of the Year and SA Restaurant and Catering awards.
Prior to joining the family business, he was the Marketing manager for Hollick Wines in Coonawarra for a decade and after University studies held positions with Southcorp Wines and Porter and Co wine distribution. During his time as a student he worked in managerial roles at leading Adelaide hotels to help fund the regular sensory development sessions.
In recent years, Kent has launched Kent and Co wines, a boutique producer focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Mount Gambier region.
