Originally from Bulgaria, Iskra is an accomplished winemaker with extensive international experience. After building a strong foundation in Bulgaria’s wine industry, she set out to broaden her horizons. Her first vintage abroad took her to Coonawarra, where she quickly fell in love with the region, its people, and of course – its wines. After that Iskra went on to further develop her skills in other renowned wine regions such as Napa Valley, Rioja, Barossa Valley, and Margaret River, gaining a broad perspective on regional styles and various winemaking techniques.

Since moving to Australia in 2020, Iskra has been part of the winemaking team at Treasury Wine Estates’ Barossa winery, where she works on white, red, sparkling, and low alcohol wines for some of Australia’s most iconic brands. Her global perspective and passion for innovation continue to shape her approach to both winemaking and wine judging.
