Sustainable Winegrowing in the Limestone Coast workshop 1

Sustainable Winegrowing Australia is our national program for grapegrowers and winemakers committed to making sustainable wine and is endorsed by the Australian Wine Research Institute, Wine AustraliaAustralian Grape and Wine and grape purchasing companies.

Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certification is powered by FRESHCARE, which many grape-growers and wine producers may be familiar with.

This first locally-run workshop is primarily for wineries and wine businesses who are not yet members of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and who may be asking:

  • What are the benefits of becoming a member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia?
  • How is the trust mark being recognised in the marketplace?
  • Should I pay more for grapes from Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certified vineyards?
  • How is Sustainable Winegrowing Australia applicable to processing and packaging wine?
  • Who will do the wine-business side of the auditing?
  • How long does it take to get permissions to add to my back label artwork?
  • Will all my third-party processors need to be SWA certified for me to use the trust mark on the label.
