Things never stay still with the Limestone Coast Wine Show.  We welcome back Sam Connew for a third year as our Chief of Judges, and welcome Jane Skilton MW as our international judge, and the return of this trophy.  We welcome new committee members Carolyn Brown, Steve Brown, Lewis White, and Dan McNicol.  We farewell and thank Alice Davidson who was a wonderful Chief Steward for us.  The fabulous Vincent Ball is retiring, and so is the WISH database that he created in partnership with the Limestone Coast Wine Show many years ago.  WineShow.Pro is the new online system we’ve partnered with, and you will notice some differences as you enter wines while we transition to the new system.

It’s clear from the entries data from the last few years, that Cabernet entries continue to grow, with Shiraz and blends plateauing and small growth in other reds and sparkling.  To reflect the change in what you are making, we have introduced a second Cabernet trophy.  We’ve also split the Other Red trophy up to capture style differences on the judging bench for these small categories.  The Provenance classes will have just one trophy, rather than separate ones for white and red, which again follows the strength of entries.  Instead, we’ve split up the Museum trophy to award both a white and a red wine.  Please enjoy entering your show, and as always, we thank you for continuing to support this wonderful showcase of the Limestone Coast.
