Nick Baverstock graduated with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Viticulture) from Adelaide University in 1999. He has been involved in the wine industry for 15 years working in various viticultural roles and regions which include Mclaren Vale, Coonawarra and Robe.

 

Nick currently manages a 250 Ha premium vineyard at Robe which is situated in the South East of South Australia. The vineyard is responsible for providing exceptionally high quality grapes for some of the premium Penfolds brands including St Henri and Bin 389.

 

Nick has been on several regional industry technical committees in both Mclaren Vale and the Limestone Coast. This has enabled Nick to be involved in developing the viticultural knowledge within the regions through facilitating and organising workshops for the local Grape Growers.

 

Currently Nick is based near Robe in the South East of South Australia with his wife Peta, a Sparkling Winemaker and their two young sons Luc and Zavier.

 

Born and raised in South Africa until the age of 12, Nick has a keen interest in travel and other cultures. Nick is also a keen conservationist and has volunteered for many organisations including as a tour guide at Monarto Zoo, an open range zoo in South Australia and growing Trees For Life.
